    Montbold Warranty Policy

    At Montbold, we pride ourselves on our bags' quality, durability, and craftsmanship. We are confident in the products we manufacture, and to ensure your peace of mind, we offer a One-Year Limited Warranty on all our bags. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use during the first year of ownership.

    1. Warranty Registration

    To take advantage of Montbold’s One-Year Limited Warranty, customers must register their product within 30 days of delivery.

    Warranty registration is simple and can be completed online by visiting our Warranty Registration Page.

    This registration is necessary to validate your warranty and ensure quick service in case of any issues.

    2. Warranty Coverage

    The Montbold One-Year Limited Warranty covers the following:

    2.1. Manufacturing Defects:

    • 2.1.1. Faulty stitching
    • 2.1.2. Broken zippers or fastenings
    • 2.1.3. Defective hardware (buckles, buttons, etc.)
    • 2.1.4. Handle or strap defects

    2.2. Functional Failures:

    • 2.2.1. Malfunctioning straps, handles, or closures
    • 2.2.2. Issues with compartments, pockets, or attachments

    This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and cannot be transferred to another person.

    3. Warranty Not Covered

    Montbold’s warranty is comprehensive but does not cover issues arising from:

    3.1. Normal Wear and Tear:

    • 3.1.1. Scratches, abrasions, or scuffs on the fabric or leather
    • 3.1.2. Fading or discoloration over time due to exposure to sunlight or moisture

    3.2. Accidental Damage or Misuse:

    • 3.2.1. Overloading the bag beyond its intended weight capacity
    • 3.2.2. Exposure to harsh chemicals, extreme heat, or liquids
    • 3.2.3. Tears or rips caused by external forces

    3.3. Alterations or Unauthorized Repairs

    Any modifications or repairs done by third parties not authorized by Montbold will void the warranty.

    3.4. Gift Boxes

    Gift boxes and any packaging materials provided with your purchase or sold separately from bags are not covered under this warranty, as they are considered packaging or presentation products.

    3.5. Loss or Theft

    Our warranty does not cover products that have been lost, stolen, or misplaced.

    3.6. Unintended Usage

    Using the bag for purposes other than its intended function (e.g., carrying heavy objects in a laptop bag designed for light use) will not be covered under this warranty.

    4. Warranty Claim Process

    In the event of a defect that you believe is covered under Montbold’s warranty, you must follow the steps outlined below to file a claim:

    4.1. Initiate the Claim:

    Visit our Warranty Claim Page and provide the necessary details. You will need to submit:

    • 4.1.1. Proof of purchase (order number or receipt)
    • 4.1.2. A description of the defect
    • 4.1.3. Clear images of the defect or damaged part of the bag

    4.2. Assessment and Approval

    Once your claim has been submitted, our team will review it within five business days. During this time, we may contact you for additional information or images if necessary.

    4.3. Warranty Resolution:

    If the issue is deemed a valid warranty claim, Montbold will offer the following solutions:

    • 4.3.1. Repair: We will arrange to repair the bag at no cost if the defect can be repaired.
    • 4.3.2. Replacement: If repair is not possible, we will replace your bag with a new or equivalent model. We will offer a comparable replacement if the exact model is unavailable.

    When sending the product to our service center for repair or replacement, you will be responsible for shipping-related tasks along with the cost of shipping. However, once the product is inspected and the defect is approved under our warranty, Montbold will bear the cost of shipping the repaired or replaced product back to you.

    5. Timeframe for Warranty Service

    Once your claim has been approved:

    • 5.1. For repairs, the process usually takes up to 14 business days from the time our service center receives the bag.
    • 5.2. The new bag will be dispatched for replacements within seven business days of approval.

    This timeframe may vary based on factors such as the nature of the repair or replacement availability.

    6. Exclusions from Warranty

    This warranty does not cover:

    • 6.1. Products not registered within 30 days of purchase
    • 6.2. Bags purchased from unauthorized sellers or resellers
    • 6.3. Gift Boxes, as they may include the consumable items and are intended solely for presentation purposes
    • 6.4. Defects caused by third-party accessories (e.g., non-Montbold branded locks, attachments, or straps)

    7. Limitations of Liability

    Montbold’s liability under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement, as described above. In no event shall Montbold be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the product.

    This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights under applicable laws. Montbold makes no other express or implied warranties beyond the terms stated here.
